This page will be updated during the week of April 15-21 while the "Biloxi 26" are "on location" in Biloxi. Special thanks to Ruth Fitzgerald and Dave Sageman for transmitting photos and commentary during the week. (Items will be added in reverse chronological order - i.e., most recent on top.)
Day 6 - Friday: our last, our longest, and possibly our best, day. We were all anxious to make serious progress on our respective work tasks and to have a minimum of "down time" today. So, after a long hard day of work we were still reluctant to head back to the Mission for our last day evaluation--part of the Back Bay Mission process. As you can tell from the photos, our weather all week has been beautiful--a blessing for all. Photos from Friday, April 20
Day 5 - Another very full workday, capped off with an evening sailing cruise on the Gulf. Photos from Thursday, April 19
Day 4 - The first full workday (except for Dave and Ruth who are on their third work day)!! We are scattered at several different work sites. Believe it or not, one of the sites we were going to be on was called Wisteria Lane (a la Desperate Housewives) but that site didn't get inspected yet, so the group we have named "Wisteria 13" worked at a different site--on Back Bay Mission's model home--a modular home that they hope to use as a model for other new home construction. Photos from Wednesday, April 18
Day 3 - The group arrives, and meets with Don Morgan, the work project director. Then, even though it was after 5 PM, we started some projects -- organizing tool, paint & supply trailers, while others went on a tour of possible work sites and unloaded sheetrock & insulation. Finally, we had our group dinner. Photos from Tuesday, April 17
Day 1 - Ruth and Dave arrive, but the rest of the group is stranded in Connecticut due to a cancelled flight. Photos from Sunday, April 15
April 15 - The group is commissioned during Easter morning worship. (Double-lick on the video to load and play. If it doesn't play, then this troubleshooting link at YouTube.com might help.)
