On Sunday, June 7, 2009, during a congregational meeting, the congregation voted to adopt the Open and Affirming Statement thus adding Rocky Hill Congregational Church, UCC, to the ranks of the 47 existing ONA Churches in Connecticut.

The vote was 110 in favor, 23 opposed and 3 abstentions.
