Bible Study Sessions

The ONA Bible Study Subcommittee has put together a series of three small group bible study sessions to be held on January 15, 2009, January 27, 2009 and February 12, 2009.

Individuals can attend all three sessions, or any one or more of the sessions.  At each session, the group will read a couple of Bible passages and discuss a series of review questions.

The format for the sessions is:

  • A word of welcome
  • Opening prayer
  • Review of the ONA Behavioral Covenant
  • Distribution of NSRV Bibles (church pew Bibles) and a handout with biblical passage(s) citations and questions for discussion.
  • Reading of the passages together (each person reads a few lines of the cited biblical passage)
  • Group discussion of the review questions.

Sessions are anticipated to last no more than 90 minutes (click links below for handouts from the sessions).

Session One January 15th at 7 pm in Chapin Hall. Handout.

Biblical passages: Leviticus 18:1-30 and Romans 1:1-20

Session Two: January 27 at 7 pm in Chapin Hall

Biblical Passages: 1 Corinthians 6: 1-20 and 1 Timothy 1: 1-20

Session Three: February 12, 2009, 7 pm in Chapin Hall

Biblical Passages: Galatians 5:1-15, Ephesians 5:21-33 and Matthew 19:3-12
